The 100 candles game

Postby Springheeled on Sat Jun 13, 2009 9:58 pm

Anyone interested in doing the Gathering of 100 Ghostly Tales, and silently the spirits would return.or Hyakumonogatari Kaidankai as they call it in Japan. All you need is one hundred candles and one hundred ghost stories, and at least two people. Originally a test of courage for a Samurai. It is said when the last candle is blown out a ghost appears. See http://www.seekjapan.jp/article-1/766/T ... stly+Japan. Also known as the 100 candle game. When you have told a ghost story you blow out the candle. when you have blown out the last candle you may have ghostly company.

The more i think about this nigel, the more i think we should try it. Anybody got any idea of were we could do this, the main problem is finding a place which allows smoking, cos we dont want people to leave during this. Any ideas guys?

I think I might know somewhere.........

;)
I'm not frightened of dying.....any time will do.....I don't mind.
Why should I be frightened of dying.....there's no reason for it.....we've all got to go sometime.

I have enough from my collection of "Real" ghost stories to do several of these without repeating. The Japanese at the height of its popularity sometimes would hold it outdoors.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyakumonogatari_Kaidankai

I have good story for the last candle.
